Dr. Brandon Beamer is a board certified, fellowship trained, orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, advanced arthroscopic techniques, and shoulder reconstruction. He is thrilled to be able to provide world-class patient care in Montana as part of the Bridger Orthopedic and Sports Medicine team. He strives to return patients to their healthy and active lifestyle with the least invasive, quickest recovery possible. Dr. Beamer’s practice focuses on arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip and knee. He also has extensive training and experience with leading edge regenerative technologies (Orthobiologics), which include platelet rich plasma (PRP) and regenerative cell procedures from adipose (fat) and bone marrow tissues (BMAC). These technologies harness the body’s own healing potential and amplifies it to either avoid surgery altogether or enhance the healing and recovery of surgery if indicated. Dr. Beamer utilizes all of his tools, many of which are new to our area, to assure the best possible outcome. Dr. Beamer’s world-class education and training has included instruction from some of the country’s most renowned surgeons at Weill Cornell Medical College, Harvard University and Stanford University, and has had the opportunity to work with collegiate and professional athletes including serving as the Assistant Team Physician to the San Francisco 49ers. He performs surgery for both adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Beamer is also highly versed in complex shoulder reconstruction and replacement. One of his passions is hip arthroscopy for the treatment of acetabular labral tears, femoroacetabular impingement, and microinstability of the hip. This is a hip preservation procedure and he hopes to help patients avoid the need for hip replacement one day. Dr. Beamer is trained in advanced techniques for rotator cuff repair, shoulder instability, and shoulder replacement surgery. He also performs anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, using modern “anatomic” techniques, which improves functional outcomes and return to activity for the patient. He has clinical interest in complex multi-ligamentous knee reconstructions and cartilage restoration procedures. He has received grants for and conducted research on various meniscus repair techniques and strives to preserve the meniscus, whenever possible, to help prevent arthritis.
Dr. Beamer is also incorporating Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Adipose Derived Regenerative Cell Transfer (Lipogems) treatments into his practice to help speed healing and enhance repair by speeding tissue regeneration, and by decreasing inflammation. These treatments are FDA approved and are minimally invasive. Backed by research and strong clinical evidence, these treatments may also lower the risk of infection.
Dr. Beamer is a fellow of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and holds memberships in numerous professional societies including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery (AAOS), American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA). Being able to raise his family in a community like Bozeman has been a lifelong dream and they can be found enjoying everything our great state has to offer including skiing, fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time at the lake. He and his family live an incredibly active lifestyle and can relate to the desires and goals of our active, hard-working, and hard- playing community. He knows how important this lifestyle is to Montanans and works to help patients return to their pre-injury state as soon as possible.
